3 Days Cappadocia Tour from Istanbul

Day 1: Fly to Kayseri/Nevsehir from Istanbul – Goreme Open Air Museum & Fairy Chimneys Tour

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Istanbul around 4:30 am and will be transferred to the domestic airport for your flight from Istanbul to Kayseri or Nevsehir between 6:00 – 8:00 am. Upon arrival at the Kayseri or Nevsehir airport, you will be picked up at the airport and transferred to Cappadocia where you will meet your professional tour guide to begin your tour with a professional guide to begin your full-day tour of Cappadocia.

First, you will visit the Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy chimneys. Drive to Pasabag Valley (Monks Valley) to see the most interesting mushroom-shaped pinnacles. Drive to the city of Avanos. In the afternoon visit another beautiful open-air museum of Goreme where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years. Lastly, before returning to your hotel, visit the natural castles of Uchisar. After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cappadocia for check-in.

Day 2: Rose Valley & Kaymakli Underground City Tour

Depart from your hotel around 9:45 am to visit Red Valley (Kizil Vadasi) and explore the famous rock-cut churches, and hike 5 km through the Rose Valley (Gulludere Vadisi). Then visit Cavusin Village. This village is famous for the houses and churches of Christian clergymen. After lunch Drive to the Pigeon Valley (Guvercinlik Vadisi). In the afternoon visit Kaymakli Underground City or Ozkonak Underground City. Where early Christians lived in fear and faith. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 3: Derinkuyu Underground City & Ihlara Valley Tour – Fly back to Istanbul

Depart from your hotel around 9:45 am for Derinkuyu Underground City to visit the huge refugee settlement carved by early Christians, where they could hide from persecutors. From Derinkuyu continue to the beautiful valley of Ihlara, Formerly known as peristerema. Explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike 4 km through the valley. On the way back visit the monasteries in Selime village (Guzelyurt). At the end of the tour around approximately 4:00 pm, you will be transferred to Kayseri or Nevsehir airport for your late evening return flight around 7:00 – 10:00 pm (1 hour 30 minutes flight duration) to Istanbul. Upon arriving at Istanbul airport, you will be greeted by a representative from our company and transferred back to your hotel. END OF OUR SERVICE and TOURS.

IMPORTANT INFO:

• The order of the itinerary is indicative and subject to change, but all visits described will take place.
• This is a regular group tour, but if requested at cost can be provided as a private tour.
• The regular group tour has shopping stops included in the tour.
• Vegetarian lunch option available upon request.
• The normal arrival time in Istanbul is between 8:00 – 10:00 pm. If you are planning on reserving your plane back home that same day, we recommend you book a plane ticket from 1:30 am onwards, to avoid missing your flight.
• The hot air balloon ride operates in optimum weather conditions. The decision for the flight to take off on any given day is decided by the local government at the last minute depending on weather conditions to ensure passenger safety. If your paid and scheduled hot air balloon ride gets canceled by the tour company at the last minute for weather conditions, we will provide you with a refund of USD 280.00 for the hot air balloon ride if you have it booked with us.
